Day four at "The Perfect Dinner" and Alex serves his guests a cheesecake. However, the iconic dessert is not really well received by fans of the VOX show.

Rotterdam – After Mark, Tanja and Sally, it's now Alex's turn to knock his guests off their feet with home-cooked delicacies and achieve the illustrious top score. His menu is a source of great enthusiasm among his comrades-in-arms, but the audience doesn't quite like it – and his dessert in particular attracts scorn and ridicule.

"Difficulty level to the power of 10": Viewers gossip about cake from "The Perfect Dinner"-Alex

His competitors scored 30, 31 and 34 points in the last few days – a feat Alex is trying to surpass on "The Perfect Dinner". He is helped by his carefully composed menu, which consists of prawns with spinach, steak with pear risotto and, to top it off, a creamy cheesecake. His comrades-in-arms literally have their mouths watering at the sight of the steaming plates, but his creations cause outrage among the spectators.

Especially with Alex's "Cheesecake" the "The Perfect Dinner" fan community just can't make friends. "You could also make a normal cheesecake with quark. It's not as rich as cheesecake," a viewer on X (formerly Twitter) complained. "If the cheesecake is the most important and best, then I'm worried about the main course," says another. "Great thing, with difficulty level to the power of 10," writes one X user ironically, and another vents about Alex's pronunciation of the English word: "Finally shitcake again."

The concept of "The Perfect Dinner"

Since 2006, the cooking documentary has been a permanent fixture at Vox. From Monday to Friday, a total of five amateur chefs will compete for victory. After each dinner, points are awarded on a scale of 0 to 10 so that a lucky winner is chosen at the end. Each candidate can decide for themselves how the points are composed – taste, atmosphere, selection of drinks and mood can be included in the evaluation. What is exciting for spectators and participants alike is that everyone cooks in their own four walls and gives pretty much private insights.

In addition to the "normal" dinner, there are regular special editions with prominent participants. However, "The Celebrity Dinner" will not be shown during the week, but on Sundays at primetime.

Because he's too self-confident: "The Perfect Dinner" viewers tear Alex apart

In addition to spiteful comments about Alex's cheesecake masterpiece, there is also a lot of criticism on social media about the self-confident appearance of the amateur chef - after all, he describes his culinary direction as "perfection" again and again. "He thinks he's a bit too horny for my taste," judges one X user, "Say 'perfection' again," rants another. Meanwhile, a spectator delivers a scathing verdict: "Too bad, a little modesty would suit him better."

Alex's colleagues didn't exactly have it easy with the opinionated fans of the VOX show either. For example, Sally had to endure a lot of nasty comments from "The Perfect Dinner" viewers for her QR code menu. Sources used:RTL+/The Perfect Dinner/Episode from November 9, 2023; VOX
