It is probably one of the most confidential addresses in Geneva, a city that nevertheless cultivates discretion. No Cartier logo is visible, neither at the bottom of the building nor on the first floor. You have to pass through multiple security gates, reveal your identity several times, before arriving in the unmarked offices of the fifteen-person team that takes care of the Cartier Collection. The jewels come and go in these places depending on the appointments but are stored in two even more secret places on the outskirts of the city. "We never receive an audience here, with the exception of curators and a few museum managers, but it's rare," says Pierre Rainero, Cartier's director of creation, image and heritage.
