Israeli President Isaac Herzog met Thursday evening with the families of abductees held in the Gaza Strip. The meeting was broadcast live on "Walla!".

"We have come to strengthen, to pray with the families of the abductees," Herzog told the families, "Israel is doing everything in its power and does not miss any opportunity to reach the moment when we bring the abductees home. This is the holiest mission we have, hand in hand with the war against Hamas. It's important for me to say – people say, 'Let go, bring.' We are dealing with a bitter and cruel enemy who has no God in any sense or standard."

It doesn't matter if they have a foreign passport or not, it's not interesting at all. It's not interesting at all. The State of Israel will not miss any opportunity, no option, to bring them back."

During the meeting, one of the participants intervened and asked: "President, do you promise me that this will not happen in the north as well?" "We are currently talking to the families," replied Herzog, who was accompanied by his wife Michal.
