In recent days, the 401st Brigade's combat team attacked the area of Hamas' Shati Battalion. During the battles, about 150 terrorists were eliminated, and the fighters gained control of several Hamas military strongholds in northern Gaza.
One of the targets taken over by the fighters is the "ship" outpost, inside which a site for the manufacture of weapons was found and destroyed, as well as launching positions and an underground network. Another target in which the brigade operated was the Blue Beach Hotel on the coastal strip in northern Gaza. About 30 terrorists barricaded themselves in the hotel and fired several anti-tank missiles at IDF soldiers. After the takeover, it was discovered that the terrorists had used the hotel rooms as shelter and planned attacks above and below ground.

In recent days, the brigade's fighters gained control of the Badr outpost, the main outpost of Hamas' Shati Battalion, located near a refugee camp and civilian buildings. As part of the raid on the outpost, the brigade's soldiers destroyed military headquarters and launching positions. This post is the last remaining outpost on the Shati border, and it was also destroyed.
In the order for the attack, the brigade commander tells the soldiers: "We are entering Thursday. I want you to know that these achievements have not been taken for granted until now. You are the most forward in command, the most forward in the division, you strive forward, you deal with events. Put aside all difficulties. True, it's a little hard here, a little harder there. You're doing it amazing, so you know."
The commander, Col. Benny Aharon, added: "It's important to me that you know, and I say this here to everyone: Take it down as well, we are at the gates of Gaza City, and we are entering places that from the intelligence I receive, they never imagined that we would reach there with such intensity and order, and you are the ones who are going to do it. Tomorrow one is going to sit on the center of Gaza City. This is something that the enemy never imagined would happen at these stages, and we are proud of the fact that we are doing it and restoring honor to the State of Israel and the people of Israel.
