Staff Sergeant Gilad Rosenblit fell tonight during an operational activity in the northern Gaza Strip, according to a report released Friday morning. His family was notified.
Rosenblit, 21, from Geniger, was a combat medic in the 52nd Battalion of the 401st Brigade, the Iron Trace Formation.
Yesterday, the IDF announced that the body of spotter Roni Eshel, who had been considered missing since the brutal massacres on October 7, had been identified. Over the past 34 days, no information was received about her, killed or abducted, until yesterday, when her body was identified.
Ronnie is survived by her parents, a sister and a brother. She will be laid to rest on Sunday at 15 p.m. at the Kfar Saba military cemetery.

Eyal said painfully: "We also fought for all the abducted and missing, especially for my Ronnie, to bring her home - and we lost the war, Roni is not with us. In fact, the details we have collected so far have been saved and passed on. What we could find out, we inquired, the answers to some of the things we received.
"I leave everything in the loyal hands of the defense establishment. We are before the funeral and then we will know, I think, how to proceed, we will learn how to proceed. We are wrapped up in a very warm and caring family."
