"I was with him at the time when...": Booder reflects on the death of Wahid Bouzidi

"A few words for my partner, for my brother, for the one who made me laugh and cheered me up. And who I was cheering up too. I have tears in my eyes," the comedian said of his friend. Nearly three months after the tragedy, Wahid Bouzidi remains anchored in Booder's memory. Invited by Éric Dussart and Jade in "On refait la télé" this Saturday, September 11, he wanted to say a few words to her.

"It was very, very hard because I was with him at the time... I don't like to say at the time of the incident because it looks like a police officer, but we had to see each other [...] We were in the same city, in Marrakech together," he recalled to RTL journalists. In the end, it was Wahid Bouzidi's wife who called him to inform him of his hospitalization.

"It was very complicated for me... Until now, a little bit," he says, adding: "I'm thinking about him." I miss him so much. He's in my heart but I wish he was here for real." Long-time friends, the two men have collaborated on many occasions, whether at the Jamel Comedy Club, the Marrakech du rire, in "Vendredi tout est permis" or in the play La Grande évasion and have never left each other's side. "I've really lost someone very close to me," Booder said.
