Milower Land - For 24 hours, an armed man has been barricading himself in a house in the municipality of Milower Land in Brandenburg. The police had moved out on Friday afternoon (10 November) to the house where, according to initial findings, two men, a child and a woman were staying at that time.

The police had arrived on Friday afternoon with a large contingent to enforce an order of the district court and hand over the child to the youth welfare office.

The police moved into the house of the armed man on Saturday evening. Officers are in and around the house, said a police spokesman on Saturday afternoon. It initially remained unclear whether the man could be overpowered during the attack. Previously, the "Märkische Allgemeine" had reported.

According to the police, shots were fired from the house. Police spokesman Daniel Keip told the German Press Agency. No one was injured, many details are still unclear. The police are still trying to establish contact with the man.

The house in which the man has barricaded himself is located in the small village of Vieritz with around 300 inhabitants in the municipality of Milower Land, about 20 kilometers northwest of Brandenburg an der Havel on the border with Saxony-Anhalt.

It was not until May that there was a large-scale operation in Nierstein, when a man barricaded himself in the apartment with his nephew.
