Kyiv - On Saturday night, there is said to have been a wave of Russian drone attacks in the Ukraine war. According to the dpa, the air alarm has been triggered in several cities of Ukraine. The capital Kiev was also affected, as the military administration announced on Telegram. The air defense is said to have intercepted a large part of the attacking objects. Nothing is currently known about possible victims or damage to the infrastructure.
According to Ukrainian sources, the port city of Odessa has once again become a target of Russian missiles. According to local authorities, three people were injured. Among the victims was a 96-year-old woman who was rescued from the rubble of her home, military governor Oleh Kiper wrote on Telegram.
Avdiivka's front remains fiercely contested in Ukraine war
Meanwhile, the fighting in the Ukraine war is said to be raging, especially around the city of Avdiivka. According to international observers, Russia is said to have managed to make small territorial gains there. However, Ukrainian forces would still be able to hold their positions in the city. The front is still fiercely contested.

Especially in the battles around Avdiivka, Russia is said to suffer heavy losses. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The number of Russian soldiers killed in the Ukraine war is said to be over 300,000. More than 5,000 Russian tanks are also said to have been destroyed.

Kyiv continues to receive support for Ukraine war
Ukraine is soon to receive further support for its fight against Russia. Lithuania confirmed the transfer of a Nasams air defense system and other military equipment. President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his gratitude for the support of the EU member state.
Due to the winter, however, experts assume that the course of the front in the Ukraine war will hardly change in the coming weeks.
