"I arranged with a friend today to go strengthen the families of the abductees in Kaplan at eight o'clock in the evening," Gideon shared with her followers. "While I'm getting organized, the news is in the background at a relatively high volume. I hear, 'Publication permitted: Five fighters fell in fierce battles in the Gaza Strip.' I drop everything, sit down in front of the TV, and wait to hear the names of the fallen. In the meantime, I call my brother, who is in the field, and he doesn't answer me. A few minutes without air and chest pressure," she wrote.
Later she spoke about her difficulty in coping with the new reality imposed on the country since Black Sabbath. "I can't contain this terrible routine. I'm not interested in hearing about other heroes. I don't want any more heroes! Unable to contain this great pain and sorrow. In one second, everything shakes up for me. Inability to function. I took off my clothes, went back to my pajamas, and hurt like I hadn't since October 7. The thought of another family coming to update them on the worst of all, about children, adults, women and men held captive by Hamas. About the terrible chaos that is going on here in the country that does not give me rest."
