Highlights: "Pink Gold": Strauss returns the iconic chocolate bar to the shelves. After the extensive recall in April 2022, the company is currently finalizing the return of the most famous chocolate bars. "It took less than a year, but at a time when everyone is waiting for 'Mamolda,' it definitely feels like a lot," says Strauss's marketing manager. "The product is open for sale, but always takes some time. It's happening right now, in some places right now," she says.

After the extensive recall in April 2022, the company is currently finalizing the return of the most famous chocolate bars to the shelves with the marketing of the nostalgic "Mamolada" candy • "The first to reach the candy were soldiers and evacuees," says Strauss's marketing manager

Strawberry chocolate lovers - function: In recent days, nostalgic "Mamolada" chocolate has returned to our lives, after the big salmonella recall in April last year the product was removed from the shelves along with other popular chocolate bars such as "Tortilla", "Time Out" and "Tami".

"It took less than a year, but at a time when everyone is waiting for 'Mamolda,' it definitely feels like a lot," Maya Schneider, the company's director of marketing for the candy division, told us in a conversation we had with her on Sunday. "We returned to the factory and returned our range of products in a gradual manner, in order to return to the production processes we want and reach the exact flavors of the iconic products," she explains the delay and says that "specifically at Mamolada, we took this opportunity and improved the production processes - all without compromising the taste. It took us quite a while to make the adjustments. Because it's such an iconic product, we didn't want to give up the beloved flavor and go out with it until it wasn't completely perfect."

What responses have you received from customers who have asked about the product?

"Over the past year, we've received endless responses from waiting consumers. There's even a Facebook group called 'Strawberry Chocolate Lovers' where we actually got calls and when they realized that the product was coming back - then all kinds of excited voices. They wrote: 'The Messiah is on the way,' 'The pink gold.' Actually, I didn't plan it, but we had an executive conference today and there too there was excitement about the return of the Mamolada. One of the principals said that her son is in reserve duty in Gaza and that his favorite thing is Mamolda. Her mother loves the candy too. So she waited last Saturday with two packs at home in case he was released, he did and she brought him these two packages, and then he said 'I'm taking one for me and one for Grandma'. He ate it right away, but the grandmother put it aside and said, 'When the war is over, I'll eat mine.'"

When does the product officially return?

"These days all we want to see in people's eyes is light, and joy, and hope. We have Strauss activity, in which we travel and delight soldiers and evacuees with our products, so they are the first to receive the Mamolda. The product is open for sale, but always takes some time. It's happening right now, in some places right now."

Are there any other nostalgic products that are supposed to return?

"I'm not sure we have anything in the portfolio that's iconic on the level of Mamolada, but basically it complements the return of the significant products – the big nostalgic sweets. It's the last one, and apparently there's something symbolic about it as well. However, alongside the Mamolada, we have many new product launches."
