The guns are blaring, the tanks are roaring and politics are back in our lives. Live and kicking, though it is customary to say - quiet, shooting. The genie came out of the bottle as soon as Minister Yoav Ben-Tzur of Shas said that after the war, and before a state commission of inquiry is established, general elections will be held for the Knesset within 90 days, and then they will also see if Netanyahu enjoys support for his continued tenure as prime minister.
Although he later disagreed, once the statement was made, the political system was stunned. The truth has been told, and now there is no choice but to prepare for the day after. It can be assumed that Netanyahu, who has been doing politics since October 7, will again try to rally around him the right, including the messianic one and the ultra-Orthodox, assuming that those Likudniks who have a trace of Beitri splendor do not rise up and demand that Netanyahu go home and not run.

Because as soon as a new body is established, composed of protesters and people from the envelope, and the soft right headed by Bennett and Lieberman, the numbers will change and trickle down to them. Yesh Atid, headed by Yair Lapid, also needs to realize that what happened will not be and that the glass ceiling is closing in on them. Therefore, we must reduce profits and present to the public, in the center of the map, a united and belligerent body that will ensure a different politics. Clean. One that will also present a worthy security arm, an excellent economic arm and a political arm that will think ahead to the future. Because even if it sounds far-fetched, we must think about long-term political solutions.
Of course, as part of the reorganization, Meretz, which will presumably elect Yair Golan to head it in light of the faces revealed during the war, must unite with the Labor Party, without hesitation and without putting mines in the way, and serve as a home for what remains of the left.
The same framework that will be formed, from the center to the left, must commit that Mansour Abbas's party will be part of any future coalition. I assume that I will immediately be raised by those who will say that it is forbidden to rely on an Arab party, but in the same breath I will reply that Abbas has proven himself all along.
Swift new elections at the end of the war are not wishful thinking, it is a fact that is pointless to deny. You have to get organized, and it's nice one hour earlier.
