Israeli President Isaac Herzog revealed in an interview with the BBC on Sunday that IDF forces located an Arabic copy of Hitler's book Mein Kampf in a children's room in a civilian house that served as a Hamas terror base in Gaza.

During IDF activity in the northern Gaza Strip in recent days, the forces located a Hamas terrorist base in a civilian house and found quite a few explosives and weapons laboratories. During the search, inside the children's room of the house, an Arabic copy of Adolf Hitler's book Mein Kampf was also found. The book was found among the personal belongings of one of the terrorists, and from an examination of the book, one can discern markings and emphases alongside written notes indicating the deepening of Hitler's life and the monstrous anti-Semitic perception of Hitler on the part of the terrorists.
In an interview, the Israeli president referred to the finding of the book by Hamas terrorists: "This is Adolf Hitler's book, Mein Kampf, which was translated into Arabic. This is the book that led to the Holocaust and the book that led to World War II. This book was found a few days ago in northern Gaza. In a children's room, which has become a base used for terrorist activity by the Hamas terrorist organization. The terrorist wrote notes, marked the clauses, and learned again and again Adolf Hitler's ideology of hating Jews, killing Jews, burning and slaughtering Jews wherever they were. This is the real war we are facing."
The president also addressed Hamas' false claims: "Hamas lies and gives misinformation - there is electricity at Shifa Hospital, everything is working, we are talking to the hospital directors. We did not enter Shifa Hospital, where, unfortunately, there is a huge terrorist base operating under it. The headquarters and the entire headquarters of Hamas-ISIS activity is located just below Shifa. What exactly are we supposed to do? Leave it as it is and then in a few years we will go through the same thing again? And you will tell us that this is disproportionate, and civilians will be killed again. So we call on all non-involved civilians to move to another hospital nearby, we coordinate this very gently with all the forces around the place. Hamas is stopping them."
