At this time, Sgt. (res.) Netanel (Nati) Harush, 34, from Jerusalem, a soldier in Administrative Assistance Unit 5084, Givati Brigade, who fell during an operational activity in the northern Gaza Strip, is laid to rest in the Mount Herzl military cemetery.

Colonel Guy Bitton, former commander of the Givati Brigade, eulogized the late Herosh: "Netanel, you enlisted in the Givati Brigade. You reported to the reserves with great commitment. Your smile always lit up your most captivating face. You were a brilliant, smart person, always with your feet on the ground. You could always be trusted. Striving for excellence. As a fighter and magist, you were an excellent fighter and the backbone of the entire unit. On October 7, you reported for combat and took a significant part in rescuing civilians. In the past two weeks you have participated in various missions in the territory of the country and in enemy territory. On the night between Friday and Saturday, during a highly complex logistical operation, you fell dead. Netanel, I promise you that we will restore security to the State of Israel. We will defeat the vile enemy Hamas. The Harush family were proud of his way and dedication."

His brother, Rabbi Avi Harush, wept: "I remember when I was a teenager and my mother was after ten births. The doctor told her it was impossible to have more children. So unnaturally we had twins in the family. Mom decided to name them after Daniel and Nathaniel. What a gift, what pleasantness, gentleness, caring, dedication, what talent. The Lord gave the Lord a lesson, may the name of the Lord be blessed. A mother burying a son is not life. A big brother who says Kaddish for the smallest of the bunch is not life. Nati teaches us another encounter with life, another layer of life consciousness. Nati teaches us the life of a nation that desires life, which cannot allow cruel and evil people to stand on our borders. They wanted to take us back to the days of the wandering Jew who had no shield. Bring back that terrifying fear. Nati is fighting for the life of the nation, to restore the honor of this nation and to remove the shame of what happened on Simchat Torah. From an individual you have become a person who is all about eternal life. The pulse that beats in you is that of the entire nation. You are part of the rebirth of the nation. Nati, I'm sorry I didn't appreciate you enough, how great you are. I promise you that I will try to be good, to be worthy of someone like you."

Sergeant Major Avi Melamed, Harush's colleague, said: "How did this happen to Nati, the brave soldier, the hero? We've been in reserve for nearly a decade. Your captivating smile will always stay with us. You were smart and brilliant. As a fighter, you did everything 100 percent. Never landed. Nati, now your family is our family. Dear brother, you have not finished your missions, we will continue to finish them and we will not rest until we defeat our enemies. The goal is for the people of Israel to win. Nati, you were the jewel of the IDF. You will be missed by me and the whole world."

The Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Lau, spoke words on the open grave: "Nati, G-d gave you, the youngest of 11 children. Your mother Leah gave her all for each and every one of you. Your giving has reached the point of devotion. You gave yourself for your country, for your people in order to strengthen the presence of Israel in its land against those who came with great barbarism to corrupt. Nati, you gave yourself until your last breath."

Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon said: "Our hearts are broken in the face of a young smile that has been cut off, in the face of plans and aspirations that will not be realized. An important imperative was left to us by the fallen - to win the war completely. Dear Harush family, you are not alone in your difficult hour. We are proud of you, dear Netanel, and salute your path as a determined and moral warrior. Your mission will be completed by your comrades-in-arms. Thanks to them and you, we will win."

Brother Rabbi Avi Harush wept: "I remember when I was a teenager and my mother was after ten births. The doctor told her it was impossible to have more children. Rabbi Avi Harush eulogized his younger brother with heartbreaking tears: "The pulse that beats in you belongs to the entire nation. You are part of the rebirth of the nation. Nati, I'm sorry I didn't appreciate you enough, how great you are. I promise you that I will try to be good, to be worthy of someone like you."
