Firefighters from the Judea Regional Station, assisted by orange firefighters from the 7769th Battalion of the Central Command, are currently working on a fire between Kibbutz Rosh Tzurim in Gush Etzion and the village of Nahlin.
At this moment, the suspicion is of deliberate arson. Reshef Lihi Ben Lulu, deputy commander of the shift: "Upon arrival at the scene, we joined forces with the town's chief of staff and a military force to secure the forces. Three fire sites were found in the area, near which there are burning tires. This strengthens the suspicion of arson."
In addition, during the extinguishing operations, a "ripening" charge was found, a gas balloon contained in flammable material that was placed there in advance in order to cause an explosion during the fire. Firefighters are currently working to demarcate the fire and gain control of the incident.
