The prosecution unit of the Tel Aviv District Police filed an indictment today (Monday) in the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court against three residents of Hadera and Harish in their thirties who assaulted a driver in Ramat Gan. The incident took place about ten days ago on Tuval Street in the city's stock exchange complex. The three had an argument with a driver on the road about overtaking him, then got out of their car and attacked him.

"One of them told me: 'We'll burn you and lynch you,'" the driver recalled. After attacking him, the suspects fled the scene. The driver called the police hotline and reported the incident. Police officers from the motorcycle unit of the Bnei Brak and Ramat Gan police stations arrived at the scene. They took testimony from the driver, who described the suspects to them.

The police conducted extensive searches during which they located the suspects on Bezalel Street in the city and arrested them. The three (aged 30, 23 from Harish, 35 from Hadera) were taken for interrogation, at the end of which they were imprisoned and their detention was extended from time to time.
The police investigation revealed that one of the suspects began crossing the road without a crosswalk and signaled the complainant to stop. An argument broke out between the two, during which one of the suspects slammed a bag at the complainant's head, which contained a glass bottle and a can. Two other men threatened the driver, one pulled out a knife and told him, "We'll lace you up and lynch you," after which he pepper-sprayed the complainant's face.
The indictment charges the three suspects with assault and actual injury by two or more, threats together, unlawful possession of a fist or knife. The police are demanding that the court keep the three in custody until the end of the legal proceedings against them.
