After many months of complete disconnection, Monday evening came a sign of life from Israeli Elizabeth Tsurkov, who was kidnapped by the pro-Iranian militia Hezbollah Brigades in Iraq. In a video posted on social media, Tsurkov is seen addressing the camera and talking about herself and her situation.

"My name is Elizabeth Tsurkov. I am an Israeli citizen. My age will soon be 37. Before I left Israel, I moved to the United States. I lived in Tel Aviv in the Electric Garden neighborhood. During the years I lived in the United States, I worked for the Mossad and the CIA. At the beginning of my work, I worked in Syria building the link between Israel and the Syrian Democratic Forces in the northeast of the country. I visited these areas in 2019 on a Mossad and CIA mission. Then I started working in Iraq. I have been working on the issue of promoting normalization among the liberal opposition in Iraq, and the main task I have been working on lately is to create tension in the future of fighting within Iraq."
