Nature continues its course: the crane season is now in full swing, which has led to tens of thousands of cranes visiting Agamon Hula in Pun Ha'aretz in recent days – even though the "iron swords" war is at its peak.
The many cranes join the thousands of birds that have already arrived as part of their migration, such as flamingos, pelicans, partridges, birds of prey and more, which give us a reminder that nature and natural processes do not stop.

Inbar Shlomit Rubin, field manager at Agamon Hula-JNF, said: "In these sad and complex times, perhaps nature is a comfort. As every year, migratory birds arrive at Agamon Hula in the fall. The Agamon is one of the most important moist habitats in Israel and is a critical stopover for birds migrating between Europe and the African continent and back, both in terms of the food richness it offers for a variety of species and in terms of a safe haven for birds during their long journey."
Over the next few weeks, thousands of additional cranes are expected to arrive at Agamon Hula, which is currently closed to visitors due to the war, some of whom are expected to remain there throughout the winter.
