IDF Spokesperson Brigadier General Daniel Hagari issued a special statement to the media on Monday evening regarding the exposure of the terrorist infrastructure by Shayetet 13 at Rantisi Hospital. In addition to the trouble, the IDF Spokesperson released a video from inside the Gaza Strip in which he explained how the terrorist organization is entrenched under hospitals and schools and operates there for terrorist purposes.
In the footage he presented, Hagari showed the findings from the hospital in the Gaza Strip himself. "I returned from Gaza, from Rantisi Children's Hospital, where reporters accompanied us," he said. "This is proof that Hamas is using hospitals as part of its fighting." In addition, Hagari said: "We have suspicion and indications that some of the abductees were found at Rantisi Hospital for a certain period of time."
Hagari said there were indications that Hamas was holding abductees there. Hagari presented the terror tunnels in the hospital: "Hamas created a place cut off from the rest of the hospital. Weapons were found in one of the rooms, and a basement that is supposed to serve as a shelter for children is actually a Hamas weapons storehouse. There are explosives there that could cause damage to everyone around."
"Infantry and armored forces continue military raids in the heart of Shetty," exclaimed Brigadier General Hagari. "Our forces arrived at Rantisi Hospital, in the operation we exposed the terror infrastructure in the hospital, and proved that Hamas has weapons in the hospital. In addition, we have suspicion and signs that some of the Israeli abductees were staying at Rantisi Hospital, and it is currently under investigation and they know this on the basis of our intelligence that verifies it."
"In the basement of Rantisi Hospital we found a Hamas command center, weapons and explosives. Evidence was also found in the basement of Rantisi Hospital indicating that the abductees were there," the IDF Spokesperson revealed.
"Yesterday the hospital informed us that the first 18 patients at Rantisi Hospital had been evacuated to a safe place, our war is against Hamas and not against the residents of Gaza."
"There is a tunnel near the school and near the balcony, we showed with our engineering teams the entrance to the tunnel, which was dug near the hospital and near the school. They built the tunnel especially near these places. A current line comes out of the tunnel that maintains the tunnel, you see a ladder descending 20 meters downwards and our robot found fuel. All this is happening near the Rantisi Children's Hospital. A hospital that is supposed to treat children with cancer, and we see the terror infrastructure that is there nearby."
The IDF Spokesperson also noted that "in the basement of Rantisi Hospital, Hamas created a compound cut off from the rest of the hospital. There is a lot of ammunition, grenades, RPGs. It's supposed to be a hiding place for children, but it's used as a place where anti-Israeli ammunition is stored, a bunker. There are means of warfare here that endanger the safety of the patients in the hospital. Hamas turned a protected space for children in the hospital into an ammunition depot, endangering the safety of the patients."
