In the collision with a horse, a motorist was seriously injured.
Moorenweis - Early Monday morning, according to the police, a traffic accident occurred on the district road between Moorenweis and Grunertshofen, in which a horse was hit by a car.

A 22-year-old VW driver was on the county road in the direction of Moorenweis when two runaway horses appeared in front of him in the darkness shortly before Purk. The driver of an oncoming car had recognized the dangerous situation in time and was able to stop before the horses. He wanted to warn the 22-year-old VW driver from Adelshofen about the horses, but without success, according to the police. The car hit one of the horses head-on. The animal was thrown against the windshield and then flew into the oncoming vehicle.
The 22-year-old from Adelshofen was seriously injured in the accident. He had to be freed from his vehicle by the fire brigade and was then flown by rescue helicopter to a trauma clinic. According to a veterinarian, the horse was only slightly injured. Damage to the vehicles amounted to 20,000 euros.
