Underground and unusually, one of Tel Aviv's most esteemed restaurants has now resumed operations. Chef Assaf Gabbay decided to open the Shaina fish restaurant, which operated for about four years at the bustling intersection of Ahad Ha'am and Nahalat Binyamin streets, and closed last August. He opens the place in a different framework - with special orders to the house.
The chef, who has refused any publicity since the Iron Sword War broke out due to the size of the hour, and among other things, has been silent on social media since their restaurant closed, choosing to send private messages to his regular customers to tell about the return to activity. In the message, he wrote: "Shaina is staying at your home!" He added: "I hope you and your relatives are well during these difficult times. Since the closure of Shaina, I have been holding private events at the client's home. If you're planning an event soon, I'd be more than happy to cook for you, Assaf."

Chef Assaf Gabbay and his wife Natalie opened the elegant fish restaurant that he moved four years ago at the corner of Ahad Ha'am Nahalat Binyamin Street in Tel Aviv and slowly created a regular and loyal audience for themselves, who returned to visit the place out of love for the food and the intimate atmosphere they created.
The family feel, on the one hand, and the classic on the other, were expressed, among other things, in the tables decorated with white tablecloths on which wine glasses are carefully placed, in the family pictures that adorned the walls, and dishes such as fish sashimi in a cucumber wrap or fresh red tuna with caviar, which became unforgettable.

About two months ago, Gabbay announced the closure of the restaurant. "Four years ago, Natalie and I embarked on a journey, full of enthusiasm and passion, we founded Shaina – a place that is full of our soul and heart, a place that today, with deep sorrow and with a painful heart, we decide to close and say goodbye," he wrote on his Facebook page on August 4.
