IDF Spokesperson: "Today we found more information at Shifa Hospital"
Matanga is not the only kidnapped person whose body has been identified in recent days. The IDF confirmed yesterday that as part of a 7th Brigade operation near Shifa Hospital, the body of abducted Yehudit Weiss from Bari was found. Weiss was murdered in Gaza by terrorists. In the building where Weiss's body was found, a large quantity of combat equipment and weapons were found. Yehudit's husband, Shmulik Weiss, was initially declared missing and only two weeks later it turned out that he had been brutally murdered by Hamas.
The body of an IDF soldier, Corporal Noa Marciano, was also rescued two days ago by an IDF force from the 603rd Battalion of the 7th Brigade, from a building near Shifa Hospital and transferred to Israeli territory. The operation was carried out thanks to intelligence from the Shin Bet, which directed IDF forces to the exact location of Noa's body.
The IDF said: "The national mission before our eyes is locating the missing and bringing the abductees home. The IDF works closely and in full coordination with the relevant national and security bodies in order to meet these missions, and we will not relent until they are completed."
