Ground operations are expanding: During the past 24 hours, the IDF has been operating in additional neighborhoods in the northern Gaza Strip, in the areas of Zeitoun and Jabaliya. The forces encountered many terrorists attempting to fire anti-tank missiles at them and detonate IEDs (see the documentation at the beginning of the report from Golani fighters in Zeytoun clashing with terrorists who fired RPG missiles at them).
The forces of the 36th Division operate in Zeytoun against Hamas' Zeitoun Battalion. At the same time as the activity in the neighborhood, the division forces are working to cleanse the neighborhoods that came to Zeitoun, including Sheikh Ajlin and Rimal, cleansing them of terrorists and damaging terrorist infrastructure.
Forces of the 162nd Division operate on the outskirts of Jabaliya. In the Jabaliya area is the command and control center of the northern Gaza Strip brigade and one of the most significant terrorist strongholds in the Gaza Strip. There are four Hamas battalions there.
Terrorists were eliminated during the battles and the forces operated in terrorist infrastructure, including underground infrastructure and other targets of the terrorist organization.
