They want to put an end to a "fratricidal war". Some 500 cultural personalities, including Isabelle Adjani, Sami Bouajila and Claude Lelouch, have called for a "silent, solidarity, humanist and peaceful march" tomorrow in Paris.

"We are organizing a silent, solidarity, humanist and peaceful march that will open with a single long white banner. No political demands, no slogans. White flags, white handkerchiefs are welcome," wrote in a statement a collective called "Another Voice", chaired by actress Lubna Azabal.

Scheduled departure in front of the Arab World Institute

"Since October 7, 2023, horror and suffering have been tearing Palestinians and Israelis apart in a monstrous mathematics that has already been going on for a long time. This fratricidal war affects us all, and whatever our reasons or affinities on either side of the wall, we hope that it will end immediately and that the two peoples can finally live in peace," the collective continued in its statement.

Among the signatories of this press release are actors such as Pierre Richard, Elsa Zylberstein and Laure Calamy, authors such as Leïla Slimani and Philippe Geluck and the singer Michel Jonasz.

This silent march will start from the Arab World Institute, pass by the Museum of Art and History of Judaism and then go to the Arts and Crafts.

Several pro-Palestinian protests in France on Saturday

On Saturday, mobilizations calling for an "immediate ceasefire in Gaza" brought together thousands of demonstrators across France, who are urging the government to do more for the benefit of the Palestinians to resolve the conflict.

After a first wave of bans decided by the authorities, pro-Palestinian demonstrators marched for the third weekend in a row, sometimes braving the pouring rain, as in Paris.

Last Sunday, more than 180,000 people demonstrated in France to show their rejection of anti-Semitism in the face of the explosion in the number of acts hostile to people of the Jewish faith since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas on October 7.
