Crime fans who tune in to ZDF tonight are likely to be disappointed. There, for once, there is something else in the program.

Mainz – The Saturday crime drama on ZDF is the highlight of the week for many viewers. Millions tune in when Anna Loos (53) flickers across the screen in the roleof Detective Chief Inspector "Helen Dorn", Georg "Wilsberg" is on the road as a private detective, the investigator trio Schaller, Flierl and Neuhauser investigate in "Munich Murder" or Désirée Nosbusch (58) can be seen as lawyer Anna "Conti". This Saturday (18 November), however, viewers will have to do without their weekly dose of crime drama.

Good ratings for the last Saturday crime drama on ZDF

For ZDF, where Heidi Klum will make a guest appearance on "The Mountain Rescuers" next week, the Saturday crime drama is usually a guarantee for good ratings. With 6.90 million viewers, last week's "Erzgebirgskrimi" made the other channels look pale and won the day for ZDF with a market share of 26.4 percent.

By way of comparison, as dwdl.de reported, 3.59 million tuned in to "The Beatrice Egli Show" on Das Erste last weekend, which corresponds to a market share of 14.3 percent. RTL was able to win with "Sascha Grammel live! Don't rush me!" 2.50 million viewers and 9.6 percent of all TV viewers are convincing. The "TV Total WOK WM 2023" on ProSieben brought in 1.47 million viewers and a rating of 7.5 percent.

ZDF shows "The Giovanni Zarrella Show" instead of Saturday crime drama

Nevertheless, crime fans will now have to do without the ZDF crime thriller on Saturday evening this week and next: Tonight (18 November) the "The Giovanni Zarrella Show" will be shown with guests such as Roland Kaiser, Andrea Berg, James Blunt, Michelle Hunziker and Peter Maffay. On 25 November, meanwhile, "Wetten, dass..?" with Thomas Gottschalk will flicker across the screens for the very last time.

The next ZDF crime drama is not scheduled until 2 December. If you can't make friends with the alternative program at the Mainz station, you can tune in to the crime thriller "Harter Brocken: Der Goldrausch" (Hard Rock: The Gold Rush). Even before it was broadcast, however, "Wetten, dass..?" was able to convince with a large number of national and international guests. (cso) Sources used:dwdl.de, t-online.de
