The prime minister issued a statement in response to a statement issued by the Palestinian Authority's foreign ministry on his official account, accusing Israel of killing Nuba party participants in the October 7 massacre.
"The Palestinian Foreign Ministry issued a shocking statement today - it denied that Hamas was the one who carried out the terrible massacre at the party of bad guys, and blamed it on Israel.
It is not enough that for 44 days Abu Mazen has refused to condemn the terrible massacre, now his people deny this massacre and turn the tables on Israel. Holocaust denier Mahmoud Abbas now also denies the massacre of Hamas-ISIS.
I want to be clear - on the day after we eliminate Hamas, we will not allow anyone who runs the civilian government in Gaza to deny terrorism, support terrorism, pay for terrorism and educate his children on terror and the destruction of the State of Israel. We will not allow that."
Opposition leader Yair Lapid joined the condemnation, posting on the X account (formerly Twitter): "Joins Prime Minister Netanyahu's strong condemnation of the despicable and false statement by the Palestinian Foreign Ministry. Whoever denies the massacre is making himself an accomplice to the worst crime against the Jewish people since the Holocaust."

The Palestinian foreign minister's announcement was based on the publication of an article in the Israeli daily Haaretz in which a police source said that an investigation into the mass massacre indicated that an IDF helicopter fired at terrorists and "apparently" hit several revelers there. In other words, there is no definitive confirmation of this.
The publication stated that "the Israeli Air Force is behind the great destruction in the area and in some of the settlements. They also question Israeli versions of "the destruction and murder that took place in the area, especially with regard to the videos, which showed the destruction and fires that broke out in some of the houses as a result of the bombing. We demand that all media outlets and responsible UN officials and leaders of countries follow up on this issue."
