Unit 504 fighters, field investigators and facility investigators have been leading the unit's main effort since the beginning of the fighting on October 7. Dozens of fighters and field investigators joined battalions operating in the Gaza Strip to help evacuate the residents from the area and to deepen the findings on the ground. At the same time, at the beginning of the fighting, a temporary facility was opened for real-time field interrogations of detainees and detainees from a variety of activities, and later became a permanent facility.
As part of the terrorist interrogations that have been ongoing since the beginning of the fighting, 300 terrorists from all the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip were interrogated, and they provided, inter alia, the locations of underground terror tunnels, warehouses and weapons, as well as extensive information, including exposing enemy methods of operation and efforts to assimilate the enemy into the civilian population.
Throughout the fighting, the unit's intelligence and influence gathering center operates with a wide range of tools and methods for four main objectives: support for maneuvers, intelligence to incriminate targets, influence and leadership of the effort to evacuate the population south of the Gaza River.

In addition, as part of the efforts to evacuate the civilian population from the northern Gaza Strip, the unit employed a variety of operational tools with which it made more than 30,504 calls in short time, over ten million text messages, over nine million recorded messages were sent, and some four million leaflets and leaflets were distributed from the air and on the ground calling on the population to evacuate. The evacuation effort enables the IDF to broadly attack Hamas infrastructure in the area. Using precise human intelligence provided by Unit 300, over 100 new enemy locators were framed in the Gaza Strip and over <> targets were attacked as part of the target production effort.
A senior source in the unit says of its activity: "We have received thousands of phone calls from collaborators, on a scale never seen before in the unit. It is clear that the residents of the Gaza Strip are not satisfied with Hamas's barbaric conduct; the ordinary citizen understands that Hamas is bringing upon the residents of Gaza a disaster from which it will be difficult for them to recover. The unit's field investigators jumped on the first day of fighting and joined the fighting forces in the envelope areas, constituting a reliable primary source for the plans of the Hamas terrorist organization. So far, we have detained over 300 terrorists from the terrorist organizations during the ground maneuver who were taken for further interrogation in Israeli territory. Each and every investigation leads to the criminalization of new findings, and the human intelligence emerging from the Gaza Strip and from the interrogations of prisoners in cooperation with the Shin Bet constitutes an inseparable layer of the entire intelligence picture. The information that emerges in the interrogations of the prisoners is very valuable, leads to the killing of operatives and to the security of our forces."
