Today, on International Children's Day, the United Nations highlights the well-being of all children in the world – unless they are Israelis. As far as the UN is concerned, our abducted children have become a footnote, and today, of all days, the pain is much greater.
How is it possible that this organization and its bodies have not united to this day – even once – to condemn the atrocities of Hamas?"

The ambassador showed a picture of Sinwar brandishing a uniformed child with a weapon and said: Look at this picture, a picture that says everything you need to know about Hamas. Hamas is a cancer that needs to be uprooted. Hamas' barbarism defies all humanity. Hamas must not be allowed to continue to exist, and the UN must support Israel in destroying Hamas. Unfortunately, the UN also funds Hamas terrorism education in UNRWA schools."
The ambassador addressed those present in the hall: "Think about it: after all, we know what Hamas did deliberately. After all, we know what their purpose is. And we also know that they will never stop committing such atrocities."

The ambassador asked the ambassadors in the hall: "What would your country do to ensure that such atrocities do not happen again? What would your country do to bring home 240 abductees, including babies, women, the elderly?" The ambassador demanded: "Take this into account in the future before any future vote at the UN. We are also fighting to liberate Gaza from Hamas."

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who was not present at the screening due to scheduling constraints, sent a recorded video message accusing thousands of children of being killed during the fighting in Gaza: "Israel's attacks in Gaza since October 7 are unprecedented," he said, adding: "What is clear is that over several weeks thousands of children have been killed, so that's what matters. We are witnessing the killing of civilians unparalleled and unprecedented in any conflict since I have been secretary-general." It is important to turn tragedy into an opportunity, he said, adding: "It is essential that after the war we move on a determined and reversible path to a two-state solution."
