After 50 days in Hamas captivity, Sharon Avigdori, 52, and her daughter Noam (12), who were abducted to Gaza on October <>, returned to Israel while visiting their family, the Haran families and their relatives in Kibbutz Be'eri.
Chen Avigdori, Sharon's husband and Noam's father, a screenwriter and media personality, said this evening while waiting for his loved ones to arrive: "We were sure they would arrive tonight, but of course until you see them get into the car that drove them, there was always a small doubt - stemming from the fact that Hamas is doing everything in its power to get our souls out. But it happened, and now it's behind us. We are eagerly waiting for them."

In the weeks since his wife and daughter were kidnapped, Chen Avigdori has become one of the most prominent spokesmen at the headquarters of the families of the abductees, after he also clashed with Knesset members and ministers in a discussion held earlier last week in the Knesset's National Security Committee on the death penalty law for terrorists. In the discussion he said: "Stop talking about killing Arabs, talk about saving Jews."
Chen's father, Yoram, who was waiting with his son for Sharon and Noam's return, said: "Let's hope the affair is over."
