It will remain wintry in Bavaria: The German Weather Service will continue to predict snowfall and slippery conditions in Bavaria at the beginning of the week. At the beginning of December, it cools down even further.
Munich - Winter has descended on Bavaria - and will probably keep the Free State in its grip for some time to come: An official warning for slippery roads and frost has been in effect in almost every district since Saturday afternoon (25 November) and until Sunday morning between 10 and 11 a.m. The German Weather Service (DWD) warns of snowfall throughout Upper Bavaria and also in the east of Upper Franconia, the Upper Palatinate and Lower Bavaria. A total of 30 cm to 50 cm of fresh snow is expected to fall on the edge of the Alps over the weekend, and even up to 70 cm in reservoirs.
Some people may be happy about the white powdered landscape – but icy roads are probably a horror, especially for motorists. Anyone hoping that the situation will ease in the course of the coming week: no. Temperatures will rise minimally from Monday, but it will remain cold overall. And snowfall is expected again by the first weekend in December at the latest.

Winter in Bavaria remains: Continued snowfall and slippery conditions at the beginning of the week
On Monday, there may still be some snow or sleet in eastern Bavaria in the morning, writes the DWD, otherwise it will remain dry for the time being. In the afternoon, however, rain or sleet will occur again in the Free State, with maximum temperatures between zero and six degrees.
Also in the night to Tuesday it will remain wet in large parts of Bavaria, with temperatures between minus three and plus three degrees. Especially in the mountains and later also north of the Danube (partly down to the lowlands), snowfall and slippery conditions continue to occur, according to the DWD.

In the course of Tuesday, it will remain cold, with a maximum of minus one to five degrees Celsius being reached. Snow or sleet can occur throughout the Free State, in the south, according to the DWD, below 600 to 800 meters, mainly rain. In the evening, there is a threat of slippery roads on Bavaria's roads again. In the night to Wednesday, the snowfall will gradually retreat into the Alps, but the temperatures will drop to zero to minus six degrees.
At the beginning of December, the next winter weekend is coming up
A longer-term forecast for the weather in Bavaria, for example, is provided by the online portal wetter.com. According to this, temperatures in Munich will climb to a maximum of four degrees on Monday and Tuesday. But after that, things will go downhill again: As early as next weekend from Saturday (2 December) to Sunday (3 December), snowfall and sleet are expected to occur again in the state capital - with maximum temperatures of one degree.

According to wetter.com, the situation is similar in Nuremberg: Here, sleet will occur as early as Thursday, which will then give way to light snowfall on the first weekend in December, with maxima between zero and two degrees. In Regensburg, too, there will be isolated snow and sleet in the coming week, with the thermometer climbing to a maximum of two degrees from Wednesday (29 November) at the latest.
Winter has also set in in other regions of Germany on this November weekend: the first snowfall can sometimes occur in Hesse.
