Munich - A serious traffic accident turned Freisinger Landstraße in Munich into a field of rubble late Friday afternoon (24 November). Three men were involved in the accident, two of whom were seriously injured and one was slightly injured.

Crash at intersection in Fröttmaning: Hyundai and Mercedes collide
According to the Munich Fire Department, the accident occurred at the intersection of Freisinger Landstraße and Wagrainweg. A 41-year-old man was driving his Mercedes out of town when he collided with an oncoming Hyundai SUV with a trailer. The trailer, loaded with logs, was separated from the towing vehicle and the Hyundai was thrown into an adjacent field. The Mercedes landed on a guardrail.

A third party, a Kia driver, was able to bring her vehicle to a stop in time, but it was hit by flying debris and logs on the windshield. The woman was unharmed.
Two men seriously injured in Munich – cars with total loss
While the 58-year-old SUV driver suffered only minor injuries, the Mercedes driver and the 32-year-old passenger in the Hyundai were seriously injured. Both were therefore taken to the shock room of a Munich clinic. Before that, the 32-year-old had to be freed from the wreckage with a hydraulic rescue kit.
Freisinger Landstraße was closed for several hours while the emergency services illuminated the accident site for the police investigation work and removed the debris. Both vehicles were a total loss, the damage to the Kia could not be quantified.
This was not to be the end of the weekend: In the course of the onset of winter, there were numerous incidents on the motorways in Upper Bavaria. Several drivers lost control of their car.
