Leonel Pernía gave a press conference this Saturday, where he communicated a very serious fact of which he was a victim during the weekend of the National Tourism at the Viedma racetrack, where he shouted champion for the second time of Class 3.
In front of the media, Pernía pointed out that the Ford Focus serviced by the MG-C Pergamino was shot twice during the APAT senior divisional race. The bullet holes hit the front of the unit, being located in one of the optics and in the grille that covers the radiator.
Prior to the Tandil native's conference with the media, the Association of Touring Car Pilots (APAT) expressed itself on the matter with a statement that was signed by its president Emanuel Moriatis. In it, the institution confirmed that the justice system has already intervened in the case and announced that the category will collaborate to clarify the episode in question.

I convened this conference because of the facts that are public knowledge and that informed the National Tourism category. And he concluded: "Obviously as a driver and a person this has me very shocked because I love this sport and because I feel that it has a purity as it should be and it hurts that it happened, but we are all part of this.
