A Wolfratshauser (60) was convicted of possessing and distributing sex dolls with a "childlike appearance". He also owned videos.

Wolfratshausen – During the search of the apartment of the 60-year-old Wolfratshauser, the investigators found more than they had suspected in advance. Now the early retiree had to answer to the district court of Wolfratshausen. The accusation: possession and distribution of sex dolls with a "childlike appearance" as well as possession of child and youth pornography.

The judge gets "scary": 60-year-old sold dolls in children's clothes - for a clear purpose

"When I looked through your files, I was scared," said District Judge Helmut Berger as he turned his gaze away from the thick pile of evidence and towards the accused. An anonymous online reporting office of the Bavarian police had received a tip that the 60-year-old unemployed person owned and sold sex dolls with a childlike appearance. During the search, police officers found several thousand child and youth pornography images and videos. They were stored on a laptop and on USB sticks that the man had deposited in a safe.

According to his own statement, the Wolfratshauser had "curiously" and "out of boredom" downloaded the files from the Internet, viewed them and – as the judge called it – "hoarded". The whole thing started about 20 years ago. In 2017, the police already carried out a so-called endangerment address. However, this did not deter the early retiree. "My curiosity has grown." Girls in particular "just like me," explained the 60-year-old. Asked about his private life, the man who lives alone said: "I've always wanted a family. And preferably a daughter."

"Dolls with a childlike appearance" - Early retirees in court because of sales offers

Early in the trial, the defendant admitted possession of the prohibited files. Until the end, however, he defended himself against the prosecution's accusation that he had owned and sold "sex dolls with a childlike appearance". In his view, they were harmless mannequins that he made, dressed and resold. "For private collectors, the market is big. To earn some extra money." This kind of work "I enjoy".

Details in his Internet advertisements, with which he searched for the dolls and later sold them repaired, irritated the court of aldermen. For example, the man described the depth of various body orifices of the figures. For the most part, they had children's bodies and had been provided with provocative clothing by the accused.

Prohibited videos with children: Wolfratshauser sentenced to suspended sentence

An expert appointed by the court was to meet with the defendant before the trial. The 60-year-old let the appointment pass. "I messed that up," admitted the Wolfratshauser. The psychiatrist was unable to give a clear assessment. However, there is "a suspicion" that the defendant is a pedophile.

In the end, the prosecution demanded a prison sentence of two years and eight months, while the defense lawyer pleaded for a maximum of two years' probation for his client. The Court of Aldermen granted the request of the 60-year-old's lawyer. As a condition, the Wolfratshauser must go through prevention offers of the organization "Kein Täter werden".
