The prime minister's son, Yair Netanyahu, posted on social networks on Saturday that he had returned to Israel, after having been in Miami in the United States since the beginning of the war. Yair posted a picture on Instagram of a poster reading "Together we will win," and added a caption that "there is no place like it in Israel."

During his stay abroad, Yair published many publications against the army, the court and the media on his Telegram channel. Among other things, he published a post claiming that the High Court of Justice decisions led to a change in the open-fire regulations on the Gaza Strip border and helped the terrorists approach the fence.
Netanyahu Jr. quoted Kohelet Forum lawyer David Peter as saying in an interview with Channel 14 that "initially there was a safety range (perimeter) of 300 meters, which eroded and reached a point where terrorists reached the fence line and did whatever they wanted."
The judiciary responded to Netanyahu's claims, saying they were baseless. "Following erroneous and misleading reports, we wish to address baseless claims regarding the change in security arrangements and open-fire regulations on the Gaza Strip border by the High Court of Justice. In 2018, following violent incidents that took place near the perimeter fence on the Gaza Strip border, a petition was filed with the High Court of Justice arguing that the IDF's open-fire policy, which includes live fire in certain cases, is unlawful. The petition was unanimously rejected by the Supreme Court."

The world media reported with great interest the Israeli criticism directed at Yair Netanyahu. The Daily Mail reported that "an unprecedented number of 360,<> soldiers have been drafted into the reserves, with many of them leaving their lives and flying back to Israel. But Yair Netanyahu remains in Miami, and this infuriates many."
The newspaper cited complaints by Israelis against the prime minister's son, including a soldier who said in an article for The Times that "Yair enjoys life in Miami Beach, while I am at the front. We leave our jobs, our families, to defend the country and our citizens. But Yair is not here. It doesn't help build trust in the country between the leadership and its citizens."
On the Wionews website, one of the headlines read, "IDF soldiers chanting 'Prime Minister, where is your son?' while Yair Netanyahu remains in the United States." The ITV article read the headline: "'Why isn't he in Israel?' - Reservists attack Netanyahu's son who remains in Miami."
