From the beginning of the fighting, fighters and dogs from the Merom Brigade's Oketz Unit joined the infantry, armored and engineering forces in the Gaza Strip. The fighters and dogs are attached to the combat forces, assist in locating and finding terrorists, locating explosives and weapons, locating missing persons and fallen soldiers.
