About 35 young Jews from France landed at Ben Gurion Airport last week as part of their participation in the Israeli Experience's Prepa Journey. This is the 15th year that the program has been held in Israel.
The young people, outstanding graduates from a number of high schools in France, chose to come now at the height of the fighting in the Gaza Strip and the high tension in northern Israel, and with the encouragement of the families who remained in Europe, in order to take part in the Israeli Experience program, in which they will begin a preparatory program for academic studies in technological professions, engineering and medicine at the Technion. The program lasts about nine months, at the end of which most of the participants plan to make aliyah and stay in Israel.

Israel Experience CEO, Avner Lesh: "There is no better lesson in values and Zionism than the sight of these young people coming here now, in the midst of a war. The Israeli experience will continue to be an important educational factor in hundreds of Jewish communities around the world and will continue to serve as a bridge between young Jews around the world and Israel at all times."
