La List's list of 1,000 best restaurants in the world was revealed a few days ago and includes nine Israeli restaurants, eight of which are located in Tel Aviv and one of them is located in Jerusalem.
The list is published annually in Paris and weighs data from more than a thousand food guides from 200 countries (from Michelin and Zagat to The New York Times to sites like TripAdvisor and Yelp). The prestigious ranking is carried out using an algorithm that distributes scores in the range of 75.00 to 95.50 points. Therefore, the list does not indicate a ranking of restaurants ranging from the best to the least good, but rather grades.

In fact, in the new 2024 ranking, six restaurants share the same maximum score of 95.50, so they are all considered the best in the world. This is the British L'Enclume; in French Guy Savoy and La Vague d'or; in German Schwarzwaldstube; Hong Kong Lung King Heen and Japanese Sushi Saito.

Congratulations to everyone, but there is no doubt that the big news in the new ranking, at least for him, is the happy fact that no less than nine Israeli restaurants have made the list of the thousand most successful eateries in the world. So wish special and blue-and-white wrapped congratulations to Chef Raz Rahav's OCD (score 91.50); to Mashya by the Barka House Group, led by chef Guy Arish (score 86.50); Alena by chefs Daniel Tzur and Omer Shadmi (score 86.00); Chef Ronen Skinsas' Manta Ray (score 82.00); to Pastel by Chef Gal Ben-Moshe (score 80.00); to Chef Eran Peretz's Chakra (score 79.00); George & John by Chef Tomer Tal (score 78.50); To Chef Eugene Koval's L'Epoque by Robuchon - which preserves the legacy of Joël Robuchon (score 78.00) and to Chef Eyal Shani's salon (score 75.50). All the restaurants, as mentioned, are located in Tel Aviv, except for the Jerusalem Chakra.

La Liste's list has been published regularly since 2015, and its main sponsors include the French luxury goods conglomerate LVMH, Air France and Accor Hotel Group, also from France.
