Last week we unveiled here EL AL's new pricing method - the airline narrows the gaps between the cheapest prices sold on the same plane and the highest prices, thus bringing the ceiling and floor prices closer. Many travellers have complained about the new system and high prices, and now its subsidiary, Sun d'Or, is announcing discounts for three destinations.
The destinations to which tickets are sold at relatively discounted prices are Larnaca (from $ 73 each way), Tbilisi (from $ 99 each way) and Thessaloniki (from $ 89 each way). Basic baggage conditions include trolley and backpack.

In our examination, we found that although there are such prices on EL AL's website, it is not always possible to find return flights in the same price range, which may increase the total price of the flight by several tens of dollars. Sun d'Or operates direct flights to several other destinations, including Warsaw and Krakow, destinations that have become popular recently due to Poland's support for Israel, but there are no discounts at this stage.
According to the terms of El Al's offer, the discounts are valid for departures until March 31, 2024, the winter period considered less desirable in the destinations in question, and as of now, it is unclear whether the offer will expand to additional destinations. Sun d'Or operates 11 flights a week to Larnaca, 8 flights a week to Tbilisi and 2 flights a week to Thessaloniki.
