While Israel is trying to end the four-day truce agreement and release 50 of the civilian abductees in Gaza, and return to ground maneuvers and dismantle Hamas, Saudi Arabia and other countries are already engaged in the day after the war.
Senior Saudi officials say it is clear to everyone that Hamas will not be there, nor should this murderous organization be allowed to return to the scene in Gaza or anywhere else in the West Bank. Saudi Arabia is currently formulating steps toward a long post-war political process in which all the Gulf states will participate, along with Egypt and Jordan. Turkey will also participate in the process, having been recruited with Qatar to help the efforts of Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farrakhan, who is conducting a worldwide hopping tour aimed at reaching broad agreements that include China and Russia alongside the United States.
The apparent solution is based on the two-state formula according to the Arab Initiative, with a demilitarized Palestinian state under international and Arab sponsorship.

The building of Gaza will be led by Saudi Arabia and Qatar alongside other countries, and in the three years following the war, there will be a joint international and Arab mandate for Gaza. In the Palestinian Authority, international forces will be deployed to assist the PA in its day-to-day management, along with security coordination with Israel until the map of the Palestinian state alongside Israel is completed, stresses a senior Saudi official involved in the emerging plan.

The proposed outline could take shape with a new Israeli leadership – neither extremist nor messianic, and the Saudis are convinced that Israel will have a different leadership that will see things and the future differently.
"The Saudi crown prince has already blocked the phone number of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and all his aides and envoys," sources close to the matter said, stressing that he realized that he must look for new partners in Israel in order to reach normalization after resolving the Palestinian issue and establishing a demilitarized state alongside the State of Israel. The sources also said that the proposal by the Egyptian president, who is involved in the Saudi plan for a demilitarized state, was intended to test the seriousness of the current Israeli government, and that the cancellation of this proposal did not surprise anyone.
In any case, alongside Israel's war effort against Hamas, it must know how to look to the day after and know that its Palestinian neighbor will remain where it is and will not disappear – and that Israeli Arabs will continue to demand civil equality. Therefore, measured and courageous steps must be taken towards a solution that will ensure the future of everyone in this region, say the Saudi officials, and promise that they will take care of a different reality and deal with incitement, and everything related to an atmosphere of true reconciliation and creating a ground of tolerance and acceptance of the other in the spirit of true Islam, without the distortions of Hamas and Iran.
