Incitement that did not happen: A young woman from Jerusalem complained to the police that a barista in a café spoke to her while making coffee and praised the massacre that took place on 7 October in kibbutzim in the south. He was remanded in custody twice, although he denied speaking to her. Only after the café owner brought the videos proving that he did not even speak to her did the court release him.
According to a police report, the barista made coffee for one of the customers, and as she stood next to him, he told her: "It wasn't a massacre, you deserved it, it was a party." She also claimed that he said, "You won't be here in six months." The police, who arrived at the scene, arrested the suspect, who denied the allegations and claimed that he had not said anything. The complainant stated that she did not confuse the employee, she stated that she recognized him and this is not the first time she has bought there and shopped with him.

The defense attorney, Yaakov Jaber, who represented him on behalf of the Public Defender's Office, noted in court that his client insisted that there were no things, that he did not commit the offense as attributed to him, and that his employer also said that he did not speak to the client. This is a man with no criminal record who has worked at the café for years, and what is not understood is how the complainant identified him when there are other employees at the branch.
Despite this, the Arab worker's detention was extended twice in five days, during which Jaber managed to obtain from the café the video proving that the young woman did not speak to the employee at all. Subsequently, the police agreed to release him on conditions. His employer told the court: "The girl who filed the complaint was fed by someone else's words, but he didn't say a word to the complainant. I was next to him. He doesn't speak a word. I was present at the place every day. If he had said such a thing, he wouldn't have worked for me."
