"Thanks to the work that the defense establishment is doing in all its derivatives," Galant said, "the residents who return to their communities will see something new that they were not familiar with. "In order for people to return to their communities, they need security and resilience. Without the connection of these two things, nothing happens. In the first stage, we are returning several communities in the northern part of the Gaza envelope within a range of more than 4 kilometers."
On the continuation of activity in Gaza: "The moment the IDF operates in northern Gaza City, it changes the world order and enables the process. Soon we will work in other places as well, change accordingly, bring people back to other places. All this with the full envelope of the Israel Defense Forces and the Israeli government."
Galant's assessment of the situation was also attended by Defense Ministry Director General Eyal Zamir, Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Amir Baram, Home Front Command Commander Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, Takuma Director General Moshe Edri and other senior officials.
