Almost all hotels in Israel are occupied by evacuees. However, there are also quite a few empty rooms and hotels are trying to attract Israeli tourists, by discounting tens of percent. In order to understand a little more about what is happening in hotels in Israel during this period, we checked with senior executives of the large chains.

Assaf Ben Dov - VP Marketing and Sales Africa Israel Hotels Brand Manager Wort, Crowne Plaza Indigo and Saint: "All of our hotels, spread from Eilat to the north, began receiving evacuees already in the first week of the war. The management teams, together with the employees and employees, work night and day to provide the residents with all their needs, such as kosher food and special food adapted to the different sensitivities of the guests. For hygiene needs, washing machines, distribution of clothing and equipment, the conference halls have been converted into classrooms for children of all ages and activities for children and adults. The hotel's dining rooms serve 3 full meals each day to all guests. Until the beginning of the war, we recorded an increase in tourist overnight stays in our hotels. The war shuffled the cards. The Group's hotels – Indigo and Crowne Plaza City in Tel Aviv, Wert Eilat and the Dead Sea will already be happy to host guests who want to vacation and rest from the difficult days that we are all going through.

During this period, we provide a blanket discount of up to 35% discount (25 + 10 for club members). It is important to emphasize that the discounts go beyond the special prices that the hotels offer and are for all residents of the country, for example: a weekend in January at the Wert Hotel in Netanya will cost NIS 1,200 per couple compared to NIS 1,700 last year, at the Wert Hotel on the Dead Sea the weekend price will drop from NIS 1,600 to NIS 1,200, for all of which a discount of at least 25% is given, which means that the total discount can reach 50% and sometimes even more."

Anat Aharon, VP Marketing and Sales at Fattal Chain: "Even during this period, it is certainly possible to vacation in all Fattal hotels today from Eilat, the Dead Sea to Tiberias, through urban vacations in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. There is no fundamental difference in hospitality, there are facilities that work partly but the overall hospitality experience is not compromised. There is a sale until the end of December in all of the chain's hotels up to 50% discount for Israelis. Examples of sale prices: Eilat Herods Palace, a weekend for a couple for two nights with breakfast for 2,015 NIS instead of 3,100 NIS. At the Rothschild Hotel in Tel Aviv, one night on the weekend will cost a couple 696 NIS instead of 1,392 NIS. All prices are before site discount and before discounts of club members. Israelis come to the hotels who want to get some air from the harsh reality forced upon us and enjoy a change of atmosphere. As Hanukkah approaches, when the children go on vacation, there is an increase in demand."

Yael Biderman, VP of Brown Hotels, explains: "Hotels are open in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Eilat. Our prices currently start from NIS 555 per night for a couple, mid or weekend, with special gift certificates. At the same time, until November 29, Black Friday deals continue with a 50% discount in all hotels in Israel and Greece."

The Setai Hotel Group, Herbert Samuel and Orchid Hotel Group said, "These days, in addition to the benefits granted by the state to those families who prefer to leave the hotels and return to their homes, single rooms are being vacated and the hotels belonging to the Setai, Herbert Samuel and Orchid hotels also host guests who are not members of the evacuated families. It is important to note that the spa facilities at The Setai Tel Aviv, The Setai Sea of Galilee and the Herbert Samuel Jerusalem Hotels are open all the time even to guests who are not staying in the hotels. In principle, the hotel facilities work normally, but some of them work in a limited format, such as: the chef's restaurants are closed, the spa facilities in some hotels are not operational, and so on. Until December 31st, a 50% discount is given on reservations to hotels with remaining rooms. The discount is granted only to bookers on the hotel website and at the reservation center of the Nakash Hotel Group. We will be included in the compensation outline for hotels that the Ministry of Tourism is currently working on."

The Isrotel hotel chain said that there are special discounts for up to 35% discount in December at Eilat and Tel Aviv hotels and discounted prices for future reservations at all of the chain's hotels of up to 35% discount for January-March. Sample prices: 23-24.12 - Agamim Hotel, a night for a couple based on bed and breakfast for 324 NIS, another example: at the Royal Beach Hotel Eilat - 18-19.12 - bed and breakfast for a couple - 616 NIS per night. The audience that comes is very diverse and consists of those who live in the south or north, but are not evacuated and want to freshen up and spend time with family in the Eilat sun, guests who want to take a moment for themselves and disconnect a little from the situation, and also those who want to mark personal or family joy and choose to do so in the resort city of Eilat. During the war, many families stayed and still stay in hotels, including children and animals, in spaces that are sometimes not adapted for this. Naturally, there is accelerated wear and tear and damage in hotels. Through the Hotel Association, we are in discussions with the Ministry of Tourism to assist hotels with a significant renovation budget, so that we can return the hotels to a state where guests can come and vacation at the highest level as before. We are confident that the Minister of Tourism, who until now has been busy with the important project of evacuating the residents and populating them in the various hotels, will now find the time to assist the hotels themselves in this important issue that will help us promote the quality of tourism in Israel.

Israel Canada Hotels said, "You can vacation in some of the chain's hotels where there are vacant rooms alongside evacuees at Fly Eilat, West Ashdod, Fly Midtown Tel Aviv, Fly Sea Port Tel Aviv and West Tel Aviv. The rest of the hotels are fully booked with evacuees. The difference during this period is the congestion in the public areas since the hotels are full. The average prices in the Israel Canada hotel chain range from NIS 420-800 per bed and breakfast, prices after a 25% discount. During this period, our guests are evicted families alongside bookings by companies that book accommodation for their employees for business meetings. The investment we anticipate and are already preparing after the evacuees leave is replacing carpets in rooms and hallways, refreshing furniture in rooms and public areas. We are already seeing reservations for February and March, with an emphasis on Passover in all of the chain's hotels scattered throughout the country. In addition, we launched a preliminary sale for February and March for up to 35% discount, and for Passover for early bookers to order 20% discount in all of the chain's hotels."
