Israeli President Isaac Herzog met Tuesday with Shoshan Haran, who was kidnapped from her home in the atrocities of October 7, along with six other members of her family from Kibbutz Be'eri. This week, Shoshan was released along with five members of her family. The seventh family member, Tal Shoham, is still in captivity by the Hamas terrorist organization.

The president hugged Shoshan and said, "You have no idea how excited I am to see you, and your family. You have become a model, all the abductees have become models of admiration, pain, identification. I'm sure they'll be back. I am convinced and know that there is a tremendous international effort, rare in its intensity. There will come moments of complex decisions, but everything must be done to free them and bring them home."

Shoshan Haran said at the meeting: "I'm already here, but there are a lot of Israelis left in Gaza and we have to do our utmost so that everyone will return. I knew on the first day of my captivity that within 20 hours my family would organize, formulate a strategy and start working hard to get us home.

I have full faith in the State of Israel, which is also making all the efforts, and full faith in the people of Israel to do everything they can for the return of the abductees."
