They had been lynched, kicked and seriously wounded by bullets in Herblay. Their lives had literally been turned upside down during the night of October 7 to 8, 2020, when they had simply come to locate a garage as part of an investigation. One had been shot twice, the second four from the service weapon of one of the policemen. The situation had quickly escalated with the three men he had met that night. They believed, according to them, that they were dealing with gypsies.
