Americans for Prosperity Action announced its support for Nikki Haley's presidential race on Tuesday. This is a significant boost to Haley's campaign, as the organization is owned by American billionaire Charles Koch, who over the past decade has funneled huge sums of money to Republican campaigns.

Support for Haley will translate into donations that will bolster her campaign just weeks before the start of the Republican primary against her main rivals, former President Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
"Unlike the last election dominated by a negative Trump campaign in which there were good candidates who lost a race to win, Nikki Haley will stimulate the Republican race and win the support of moderate and centrist voters that Trump has no chance of reaching," the organization said in a statement.
"As the United States is torn apart by extremists on both sides, we are facing the moment when we must demand a leader with sound judgment and policy experience who can pull our country from the brink of the abyss. Nikki Haley is that leader," they added.
"Haley has what it takes to face the nation's greatest challenges and ensure that our country's best days lie ahead. With the capabilities we're bringing to the fore in this race, including a rich database, no other organization can do that."
Haley, who served as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations in the Trump administration, enjoys broad support from moderate Republicans, including pro-Israel Jews who remember her struggle for Israel during her tenure at the United Nations.

The donations she receives from the organization will help her reach more audiences by funding field events, phone calls to potential voters, and advertising on social media and television. The timing of the announcement catapults up the momentum of Haley, who has been marked as the winner of all Republican debates by the leading U.S. media.
According to reports in the US, Americans for Prosperity has spent millions of dollars in the past year to buy ads and send emails against Trump's presidential candidacy.
