Moran Stella Yanai, 40, from Be'er Sheva, was abducted from the party in Nova and released Wednesday evening in the sixth round of hostages, after being held captive by Hamas for 54 days.

Yanai, a jewelry designer at the beginning of her career, came to the Nova Festival to fulfill her dream and sell her jewelry. When the sun rose and the attack began, the terrorists broke into the party and Moran contacted her family. From 7 a.m., Moran's parents escorted her on the phone line, and she told them that "the terrorists don't stop shooting" and "we're looking for somewhere to run."
Soon after, she ran out of battery, and her parents never heard from her again. Testimonies say Moran began to flee under the gunfire. The group she was with split up and hid in the field, and at one point Moran, who was left alone, was caught. On Saturday night, the family came across a video of Moran being held by terrorists who call her a "Jewish," begging for her life and being so frightened. It was her last sign of life.

Moran's brother, Leon, said during the struggle for the shutdown: "Nowhere in the world should such a thing happen and the world must not go over it in silence. How can it be that good people, who live their lives and do good, have done no harm to anyone, are simply kidnapped like this. The world needs to shake."
