Jorge Macri, head of government-elect in the City, announced on his X and Instagram accounts that Gabriela Ricardes, currently General and Artistic Director of the Buenos Aires Theater Complex, will be the new Minister of Culture of Buenos Aires. He will replace the outgoing minister, Enrique Avogadro.
Ricardes studied sociology, cultural management and the performing arts in Argentina, France and the United States. He founded and directed public and private cultural institutions, promoting artistic creation and contemporary culture.

As for her career in the public sector, she was Secretary of Public Content of the Nation, General Director of the San Martín Cultural Center, of the International Circus Festival of Buenos Aires and founded the Career in Circus Arts at the National University of Tres de Febrero.
In addition, he contributed his experience in the coordination of the G20 in Buenos Aires and in the candidacy of Buenos Aires to the 2023 International Expo. Today she serves as General and Artistic Director of the Buenos Aires Theater Complex.

Enrique Avogadro, outgoing Minister of Culture, congratulated her: "Congratulations Gaby! Best wishes for this new challenge."
