Raya Rotem (54) is set free today (Wednesday) to meet her daughter Hila Rotem Shoshani, who was kidnapped with her, was held captive by Hamas with her but separated from her before her release.
An entire country dealt with the evil of Hamas, which released Hila alone without the mother on Saturday, claiming that he could not find her – even though Hila said upon her return that they had been together throughout the entire period but two days before they were separated. The pressure that was exerted did its job and now Raya is set free.
The two were abducted from the safe room in their home in Kibbutz Be'eri. Hila's friend, Emily Hand, was also kidnapped. At 12:05 P.M., Raya managed to write to her brother that she and Hila had been kidnapped, that was the last communication with them. The family says Raya is a strong mother with wisdom for life.
