A political source clarified on Wednesday that Israel is seeking to continue the fighting, and that so far, despite the reports, no official proposal to stop the fighting has been received from any of the sources.

The diplomatic source announced that Israel does not intend to move on to the next agreement until the current agreement for the return of 27 women and children is exhausted.
"We have an agreement concerning women and children. We know the names of all those held in Gaza. We don't accept Hamas' words as if they don't know where some of them are. He is the responsible entity in Gaza, and he can reach anyone in Gaza, and this is our demand. We will not ignore 27 people to discuss a new agreement that will be violated in the same way."

The source also reiterated Israel's uncompromising demand to return all women and children as stipulated in the first agreement.
"We know that everything Sinwar wants, he achieves. If he wanted to, he would bring those abductees from the other factions and implement the agreement." He added of Sinwar: "There is a psychopath in a bunker somewhere in Gaza and it is not certain that he sees reality logically and pragmatically as it is."

The diplomatic source denied reports of a comprehensive ceasefire deal, saying, "We are not aware of such a possibility and we are skeptical that there is such a proposal at all. We make it clear to everyone that we continue to negotiate the women and children in the first deal. We're waiting for 27 more and we're not going to forget about them and move on to other topics. First of all, we are working on the current agreement for the release of women and children."
