It was the most bizarre lawsuit faced by San Lorenzo and an Argentine club over a former player who was dismissed for non-payment, along with Gonzalo Verón's lawsuit against Independiente (still ongoing). The total amount of the claim exceeded 10 million dollars, something that frightened locals and strangers. And in the last few days, in Boedo they were able to reach an agreement to pay a smaller but equally shocking amount for local football. The Cyclone will have to pay Lucas Menossi almost $4 million.
This is clear from the legal agreement signed by the current Barça leadership with the 31-year-old midfielder who plays for Tigre and who spent time at Boedo's institution between 2019 and 2021.
In this agreement, according to Clarín, San Lorenzo agreed to pay 3,900,000 dollars by making a first draft of 100 thousand dollars immediately and then monthly and consecutive payments of 20 thousand dollars, which will be deducted from the television rights paid by the Professional League.
In addition, Boedo's club has agreed to pay 15 percent of each player sale it makes. However, in case of not making any sale in a transfer market, the Ciclón is also obliged to pay $200,10 within <> business days of the closing of the transfer book. This will be until the total debt is cancelled.

Why did they reach such an exorbitant number? San Lorenzo bought Menossi from Tigre in the middle of 2019 for $2,700,000, an amount that was never paid in full.
