A sign warns of dangerous wolves. However, if you believe an additional hint, only a certain group of people has something to fear.
Bremen – Wolf warnings usually have an initial background. This is no different in the case of a sign warning of dangerous predators. After all, even in the city of Bremen there have recently been roaming specimens and further sightings. But because he couldn't resist a certain joke, a walker laminated his or her own warning sign directly under the original warning. It is unknown whether caution is given a higher priority as a result. On the net, however, users have a great time.
Hunters warn of wolves - but one observer has another idea for an additional hint
A post on the Reddit platform "But please laminated" captures the sign addition. "Wolves are looking for prey in this area. Keep dogs on a short leash. Please supervise children. The right to hunt," is written on a laminated piece of paper attached to a tree.
And right underneath, not only laminated, but also inserted into a wooden frame stapled together, is written in handwriting: "Attention. Dangerous for little girls with red caps who want to visit their grandma."
Of course, this reference should be understandable to the vast majority of people: It is about the fairy tale "Little Red Riding Hood", in which a "big, bad wolf" becomes dangerous to the eponymous character because he eats the girl's grandmother and then pretends to be her.
Reddit users are debating the validity of the wolf notice – "I'd let it pass"
"Unfortunately only in cling film, still valid?" asks the creator of the Reddit post. Some are in favor of it: "Humans definitely have a stapler and know how to use it," writes one user. Another agrees: "Nicely framed... I'd let it pass!" Another user also paid tribute to the creator of the sign: "I think the creator of the lower shield definitely put a lot more effort into it."
Another user takes the sign very seriously and is bothered by the wording: "I'm not sure, but isn't it especially dangerous for grannies who live in the wolf's catchment area and expect visits from small, red cap-wearing girls?" In any case, if you follow the Brothers Grimm, danger is imminent for both grandmother and Little Red Riding Hood. In this version of the German fairy tale, at least, the two are eaten by the wolf, but later freed from the wolf's belly by the hunter. Of course, other fairy tales are also drawn into the discussion: "Also dangerous for little pigs in straw huts," writes one user, referring to another fairy tale in which a wolf is the villain.
